At GUI., our mission is to nurture and empower community-based gardening initiatives, offering individuals and communities the resources and support needed to cultivate healthy, organic foods. We are driven by the conviction that access to nutritious food is the cornerstone of sustainability and well-being. By fostering local agriculture and food production, we aim to create a self-sustaining ecosystem where every person has the opportunity to thrive, both physically and environmentally. Our commitment extends beyond the garden; we strive to sow the seeds of knowledge and environmental stewardship, cultivating a future where communities are not only well-nourished but also deeply connected to the earth and to each other. In this way, GUI. envisions a world where the act of growing food becomes a powerful catalyst for positive change, empowering communities to embrace sustainability and healthy organic nourishment.

Grower’s United was born from the hearts of changemakers in 2009 with a vision grounded in hard work, a commitment to the greater good perseverance, teamwork and love. With determined imagination, we move towards new possibilities. We think of ourselves and our donors as co-creators helping to build a local food system where everyone has what they need. We remember sacred traditions and integrate regenerative agriculture practices that honor right relationship with the land and each other. Creating the Grower’s United Urban Agriculture Initiative is the work of today, infused with the vision of a healthier and more equitable tomorrow. Adopt a Plot

GUI champions food equality through partnerships and sustainable practices. By securing land use agreements with private and commercial property owners, government bodies, and fellow NPO’s, GUI spearheads a collaborative movement towards environmental stewardship and community empowerment. Utilizing these lands, we unite with individuals, clubs, educational institutions, and governmental agencies in a collective endeavor to cultivate a diverse array of organic plant life. Our projects span the nurturing of fruits, vegetables, and nut-bearing trees to the planting of trees for beautification and shade, all aimed at revitalizing community spaces. Through this holistic approach, GUI not only brings vital, nutritious food(s) to underserved communities but also fosters a sense of belonging, environmental consciousness, and communal well-being.
